“ASUS ROG Ally Gaming Laptop: Features, Pricing, and Availability in the US”

ASUS has finally set pricing for the ROG Ally in the US, and it might be cheaper than you think – if you’re willing to wait. The gaming laptop is known to start at $600 for the basic version with an AMD Z1 processor and 512GB of storage. Currently, only Best Buy is taken Pre-orders For the $ 700 version with the Z1 Extreme chip. This form will be available on June 13th.

Both configurations include a 7-inch, 120Hz, 1080p touchscreen, 16GB of RAM, and a microSD card slot. If the integrated graphics are not powerful enough, they can be paired with external GPUs from ASUS.

ROG Ally is ASUS’ answer to Valve’s Steam platform, not to mention offerings from Ayaneo and GPD. It should be twice as powerful as Steam Deck while still providing a higher quality screen. Since it runs on Windows 11 instead of Valve’s custom Linux interface, it can run games from multiple stores without a compatibility layer that can limit performance. In theory, the only things you’re missing are touchpads and advanced analog sticks.

There are still unknowns like battery life in the real world across a wide range of games. If you’re frustrated with Steam Tech’s limitations but want support from a big brand like ASUS, this might be the portable one.
