ASUS Republic of Gamers announces new Zephyrus laptops

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is proud to announce its new 2023 lineup of thin and light Zephyrus laptops, featuring updated silicon from Intel®, AMD and NVIDIA®, next-generation intelligent cooling enhancements, and enhanced display options on each of The models.

New chips power ultraportable gaming

All four Zephyrus laptops have been upgraded with powerful chips from Intel, AMD and NVIDIA, ready to drive the next generation of gaming with thin and light models. The 2023 Zephyrus M16 features an Intel Core™ i9-13900H processor and an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090 GPU for laptops, with a maximum TGP of 145W and a MUX Switch with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. Its sister, the Zephyrus G16, comes with the same Intel Core i9-13900H processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU for laptops with a MUX Switch with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and a maximum TGP of 120W.

The ultra-compact Zephyrus G14 has also been upgraded, sporting up to an AMD Ryzen™ 9 Zen 4 processor with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU capable of a maximum TGP of 125W with Dynamic Boost. The G14 also contains a MUX Switch with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus to intelligently switch between maximum frame rates while plugged in and better battery life on the go.

Finally, the Zephyrus Duo 16 holds its own with the power of dual screens, with a second 4K touchscreen that flips up to meet the main screen when you open the laptop. New AMD processors take the power of this machine further than ever, with up to a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 processor that can crank up the clock with Precision Boost Overdrive. When paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU and ROG’s exclusive Active Aerodynamic cooling system, this machine reaches new levels of power.

An all-new Zephyrus M16

Built with gamers and creators in mind, the Zephyrus M16 has been redesigned from the ground up with an even more refined feel and improved performance. The new chassis design allows for a larger and wider heatsink in the machine along with ROG’s Tri-Fan technology, which directs air from three fans through precisely calculated cutouts onto the heatsink for more efficient cooling. This allows the Zephyrus M16 2023 to achieve 20W more than last year’s model, allowing ROG to push the top-tier Intel Core i9-13900H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU to the max.

ROG has also taken the craftsmanship to new levels in this year’s M16, with a new mirror-polishing technique created with more than ten steps of grinding on the sidewalls for a luxurious finish. Combined with the new Off Black color, which uses a unique nano sandblasted finish to resist fingerprints, the Zephyrus M16 is the pinnacle of boutique quality.

Finally, the Zephyrus M16 is the second laptop to feature ROG’s iconic AniMe Matrix™ display. The M16’s 16-inch canvas allows for larger, more beautiful animations than ever before, shining through thousands of precision-milled holes in the chassis lid for a uniquely customizable look.

New screens across the range

In 2022, ROG introduced the flagship Nebula display to ensure users didn’t have to search through countless specs to make sure their laptop’s panel was top-notch. All Nebula displays must have a high refresh rate with a response time of 3ms or less, at least 500 nits of brightness, and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space for fast, bright, and vivid images. The Zephyrus range now has a Nebula Display option, with a wide 16:10 aspect ratio and, in the case of the Zephyrus G16, an increase in size over its predecessor.

The Zephyrus M16 and G14, however, are also graced with Nebula HDR displays, powered by a Mini LED backlight with individual zones that can be individually brightened and dimmed for stunning contrast. The Zephyrus M16 features ROG’s latest Nebula HDR display with 1,024 dimming zones, up to 1,100 nits of maximum brightness, and QHD resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. The Zephyrus G14 is available with a Nebula HDR display capable of 600 nits of peak brightness at a 165Hz refresh rate and with 504 dimming zones. It does not matter that
