ASUS may launch ROG Phone 7 lineup with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in Q3 2023

A new article from Tech Outlook brought the first details of the ROG Phone 7 line. Citing tipster Paras Guglani, he also brought the serial number of the devices. This time, ASUS is expected to announce three handsets, with the standard model numbering AI2205_Awhile the second, entitled ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, being AI2205_E.

The third member of the line should be the numbered ROG Phone 7D AI2205_D. Contrary to what was done with the previous generation, ASUS must launch the three devices simultaneously.

The launch is expected for the third quarter of 2023. In terms of specifications, the three cell phones should be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform, 16 GB of RAM. As for storage, the first two should offer 256 GB, while the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate will be the only one in the lineup with 512 GB. An advanced cooling system is also mentioned, but the article does not go into detail.

The display will be AMOLED with support for a refresh rate of 165 Hz. In terms of battery, configurations similar to the ROG Phone 6 line are expected, which featured a 6,000 mAh unit and support for 65W fast charging.
