astronomy fascinated july 23

By day, sunspots were safely visible through an appropriate lens. Then, at night, the public was immersed in the universe of the moon, Saturn, Jupiter and the stars thanks to a set of telescopes, glasses and binoculars.

Discovery of astronomy

While, for the specialists, two conferences held by Vivien Pic and Sylvie Vaucliar took place in the village hall, Pascal Isambert animated, all followingnoon, workshops on the discovery of astronomy, through the construction of sundials with the children, or a questionnaire on the identification of meteorites or terrestrial rocks from samples.

After explaining how to recognize them and why, people of various ages lent themselves to the game with attention and good humor. Pascal Isambert also commented on the photos arranged along the gates of the courtyard of the town hall.

Yannick Le Garrec took charge of the nocturnal observations with his inexhaustible verve. He adds: “Budding astronomers came until dawn to enjoy the festival”.

Samples of meteorites, sundials, etc., everything has been explained.
