Aston Martin F1, negotiating works partnership with Audi[F1-Gate .com]

Lawrence Stroll, owner of the Aston Martin F1 team, admits that he has been negotiating a works collaboration with Audi in F1 following 2026.

Volkswagen Group approves both Audi and Porsche separate F1 projects. Audi is rumored to have approached McLaren, Sauber, Williams, and Aston Martin to compete as a works team.

Lawrence Stroll, owner of the Aston Martin F1, told investors in a conference call, “Is there an approach from Audi?”

“Yes. And are we very happy with the collaboration with Mercedes? Yes.”

“The world of F1 is full of stories like this.”

Lawrence Stroll, who runs his son Lance Stroll in the F1 team, also revealed that Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers has retired and former Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa will replace him.

The German publication Sport1 reports that Lawrence Stroll clashed with Tobias Moers, which might have led to his retirement.
