ASTO – We communicate: Over 2,000 people at the four-day 21st Art Festival PHOTOS – 2024-07-07 17:33:10

The love of the world for the annual artistic festival of ASTO – Ekonifukoume, which took place at the cultural center of Ichthyoskala, June 27-30, 2024, exceeded any precedent.

Over 2,000 people embraced the festival’s actions. Indicative actions implemented are the following:

19th International Short Film Festival:

A. part: entries of creators from 46 countries – The audience award was given to the outstanding film from France: “The Photographer”

B. part: Films by creators from Greece – The committee’s award was given to the film “Short Draft” by the director: Spyridon Papaspyrou, who received it from the president of ASTO Ekonomikoume, Mr. Sakis Roditis. In the voting for the audience award, the films: “Armchair on the Sidewalk” by Mary Kolonia and “Wings” by Phoebus Imellos.

The Saturdaythe Free Orchestra and the bands “Mr. Egglemon & The Headfish’ and ‘Infertale’ thrilled the audience. On Sunday, it was the turn of the traditional dance groups of ASTO-Ecommunicate and Kato Alissos, who danced dances from Crete, accompanied by the “Meydan”. The program continued with the artistic musical group “The children down on the field” and closed with the participation of the people, who danced until the early hours of the morning with the “Traditionalists”.

During the Festival, the public toured the photography and art workshop exhibitionsparticipated in the club’s reading club, in a workshop by ogroup of alternative education and creation of seeds from the group “ASTO change”in a yoga program and in a self-improvement seminar and for the little friends of the club, Test Games were held by the Solidarity team, with the aim of collecting school supplies for families supported by the club.

The actions were all with free entry and everyone’s wish is that the association continues to offer, through its volunteers, such high-level artistic and educational activities for the citizens of Patras.

For the success of the festival, ASTO would like to thank the Municipality of Patreon, the Region of Western Greece, the I.E Topali Foundation, the Hellenic Film Center for their cooperation and support, the communication sponsors and above all its volunteer members, without which the festival might not take place.
