The 42-year-old Svoboda worked for the team as an assistant with a break for five years – following the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons, he returned to East Bohemia following a year spent as a scout of the first league Jihlava and an assistant of the Dukla junior team and the national sixteen team. “Of course, he also has a big part in the fact that our organization has achieved several great successes in recent years,” Hradec Králové general manager Aleš Kmoníček told the club’s website, and he also mentioned the President’s Cup for winning the regular part of the 2021/22 season.

After Svoboda’s departure, only Hamara continues, who headed to Mountfield from Sparta last year. “Even with the work of Tomáš Hamara, who adapted very quickly in our club, there was satisfaction, both on the part of the implementation team and on my part. Tomáš has a similar feeling and is satisfied in Hradec, which is why our agreement was very quick. I firmly believe that together with Tomáš Martinec, he will build on our successful season,” said Kmoníček.

He is looking for a possible successor to Svoboda, but it is not a matter of the next few weeks. “We will start the new season with two coaches and we will see whether we will add another assistant to the implementation team or not. The rest of the implementation team should stay together, which is the absolute basis for us to be successful in the future,” Kmoníček added.
