Assistance to families affected by floods reached Tacuaras and Guazucuá

Asunción, IP Agency.- Assistance to families affected by floods in the department of Ñeembucú continues, through joint actions between the Government, the National Emergency Secretariat (SEN) and other institutions.

In that context, food kits were delivered in the districts of Tacuaras and Guazucuá, in the department of Ñeembucú, which are detailed below:

  • Guazucuá: 30 families in Duarte Cue, 8 kits in San Jorge.
  • Tacuaras: 55 families in Tacuara’i, 17 kits in Punta Diamante, 15 kits in Piretu Cue.

Likewise, the cleaning of water channels continues in a joint effort that involved Government machinery, through the Ministry of Works, in coordination with the MOPC, the Engineering Command of the Armed Forces and the Ñeembucú Regional ARP.

Likewise, the evacuation and assistance tasks are carried out thanks to vessels from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), and the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (Mades), and the Ministry of Public Health and the support of the National Police, in addition of the Government and other institutions that have joined this cause.

The Government highlighted the coordinated tasks they face with the Government and in that sense, they ratified the commitment to assist and help affected families throughout the department of Ñeembucú.
