The deputies of the Legislative Assembly approved this Tuesday followingnoon the reforms to articles 59 and 153 of the General Sports Law of El Salvador, which will allow the Salvadoran Soccer Federation (FESFUT) to be part of the National Institute of Sports. Sports (INDES).
With the modification to article 59, the Registry will have national jurisdiction so that all sports federations and associations can be registered there, including those whose legal personality has been recognized by legislative decree.
The reform to article 153 reaffirms that the seats of all sports entities registered in the Registry of Non-Profit Associations and Foundations of the Ministry of the Interior are transferred to the INDES Registry.
These reforms will allow clarity regarding the obligation of the Salvadoran Football Federation (FESFUT) to adhere to the regime of the General Sports Law, both in its rights and obligations.
