Ouagadougou, June 04, 2022 (AIB)-Two hundred and fifty-four (254) new servants, including 136 with a pastoral diploma, 92 with a bachelor’s degree and 26 with a master’s degree from the Faculty of Theology of the Assemblies of God of Burkina Faso (FATHEAD), received Saturday, their scrolls, to teach the word of God.

The three promotions of new servants of the Faculty of Theology of the Assemblies of God of Burkina Faso (FATHEAD) numbering one hundred and fifty-four (254) including 136 in pastoral diploma, 92 in license and 26 in master’s degree, received their diplomas of end of theology study on Saturday, in Ouagadougou.

The modules provided during the training are related to the Bible such as psychology, pastoral ministry, pastoral ethics, ministerial ethics, marriage and the family.

The presentation of the parchments was punctuated by songs of adoration, praise and prayers.

The president of the Faculty of Theology of the Assemblies of God of Burkina Faso (FATHEAD), Etienne Zongo, invited the new servants of God to be role models in society.

Mr. Zongo also urged them not to fall into temptation and preached the good news in righteousness.

“It is a gigantic work of the Lord for the Church of Burkina and we need committed men and women, radiating in the holy ministry for the harvest”, indicated Etienne Zongo.

For him, God needs faithful servants who build everything on Jesus Christ, the word of God and the truth to arrive at better conclusions.

The exit ceremony of the three promotions has the name of baptism: “The workers who build on the foundation of Christ”.

“We wish throughout our priestly ministry to reflect an image in the form of a motto that will serve as our guide,” said promotions spokesman Joseph Sawadogo.

For him, men and women have striven night and day to meet the challenges of training.

Among the servants of God is one of the agents of the Burkina Information Agency (AIB), in the person of Brahima Zongo.

Mr. Zongo, who took two years of master’s degree in theology, was delighted to have obtained his diploma, which will enable him to preach the word of God.

“We give thanks to God for everything, God who allowed us to learn from him. We felt that in life there is nothing more important than getting to know God in order to be useful to him,” he said.
