Assassin’s Creed Remake confirmed not in development

The future of Assassin’s Creed was revealed at the Ubisoft Forward that took place last night. Although, in addition to the leaked Mirage, Red and Hexe, which were announced, fans were eagerly awaiting the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Remake, which had been rumored for months. Many of you will remember that a few months ago, Ubisoft seemed to have shown several images of an improved version of the first Assassin’s Creedbut now the French company itself has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Remake is not in development.

The sad news that Assassin’s Creed Remake is not in developmenthas been confirmed by Ubisoft Art Director Jean-Luc Sala and Series Executive Producer Marc-Alexis Côté via our colleagues at Axios y Eurogamer. The most reliable leakers got everything right except for the Assassin’s Creed remaster / remake announcement. Obviously, this doesn’t mean that we can never get to enjoy Assassin’s Creed Remake, but for now, it seems that the idea is out of the question.

Yeah, that’s not what we’re doing. I am completely dedicated to Mirage and I can tell you that we are not remaking Assassin’s Creed 1.

In addition to denying the rumors regarding a remake of the first installment starring Altaïr, it was also confirmed that Ubisoft is not developing a “crossover” series set in Egypt. In the future we may see these wishes of the fans come true, but for now it seems that we will have to wait. The good thing is that Assassin’s Creed Mirage It will allow us to enjoy an experience similar to the first game.
