Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be a more “intimate” and “focused” game compared to the previous gigantic games

During the last years, the Assassin’s Creed games had become gigantic, something that was not pleasing to all the fans of the saga, which is why Ubisoft has heard the comments and decided that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a game on a smaller scale.

Stéphane Boudon, creative director of the game, referred to this aspect in conversation with Games Radarmentioning that they have listened to the criticism that There were installments like Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and that this will be a more “intimate” and “focused” installment.

“The creation of Mirage has been the convergence of several contributions. Of course, the first comes from our community: Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla are all great games with the promise of an epic journey in strong fantasy. Its scopes have been calibrated to meet those ambitions as they all embrace RPG mechanics,” he noted, adding that “among our fans, we started to hear a desire for a character-driven story, focused on the basic pillars of the first ACs on a more intimate scale. It resonated with both us and the developers and this was the starting point for the project.”

As added “The increased hardware power and extended experience that we have developed also allow us to have a richer and denser map compared to the first ACs, and it means for us more gameplay opportunities, more interactions between systems, more depth. It also means incredible and immersive detail to treat Baghdad as one of the main characters in Mirage.”
