Communication around Assassin’s Creed Mirage is accelerating. While the game first showed off its gameplay at the PlayStation Showcase last month, it’s showing off more today via a more in-depth presentation.
Back to basics for the franchise
Ubisoft explains how its new game will be a real homecoming for the franchise. With this smaller opus, the studio was able to focus on the key points that made the success of the first Assassin’s Creed, namely parkour, stealth and assassinations.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage revolves around its three points and will notably offer players the opportunity to find urban environments highlighting movement and discretion. Basim is faster and more agile, and elimination techniques from the original games are notably returning.
For die-hard fans, the game will also feature a desaturated filter, which will give Assassin’s Creed Mirage the “bluish” look of the first Assassin’s Creed of 2007. So you can play the game with this less colorful and more characteristic aspect of games released during this period.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and will be released on October 12, 2023. Several editions of the game are available for pre-order and you will find the details of these below.
