He confirmed that the murdered doctor went out daily to obtain medical and nutritional needs from the Abbasiya neighborhood or Al-Ardha market, in addition to monitoring the health condition of Professor Fatima Mutawakel, the director of Omdurman Secondary School for Girls, who later died.

Babiker pointed out that the doctor went out this week to the Abbasiya neighborhood in order to buy household supplies and food. On his way, he met a group of “special action forces and emergency personnel” at the Abdeen station in Abbasiya. He was arrested and showed them his work card, which confirms that he is a doctor. However, “they told him, ‘You are intelligence.’” Rapid support.

He added, “Despite his assertion of his strength, he cared for his uncle, who suffers from a disability, and his wife, who is unable to walk, but they shot him and killed him.”

He noted that a number of neighborhood residents witnessed his killing, and his body was left following he was shot and those groups left their place.

He continued: “The honorable sons of Abbasiya did not leave the body to the dogs, so they took his card, found out where he lived, and buried the body. Two days later, they went with the card to the Al-Idrisi Mosque to search for someone who recognized him. Indeed, they found many people who knew him, and the family was contacted.”

Babiker confirmed that the bereaved family is facing a difficult health situation following the killing of Dr. Abdel Moneim, who was caring for them and following up on the conditions of those in the house, urging the need to take the family to a safe place immediately.

During the current war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, more than 12,000 civilians were killed, thousands were wounded, and more than 7 million people were displaced from their homes, according to local and international statistics.

The fighting forces are besieging several areas and neighborhoods that are considered hot areas of clashes, and are imposing harsh measures on the remaining residents, preventing them from leaving in some cases or forcing them to leave.

The most violent clashes have been taking place between the army and the Rapid Support in several neighborhoods in the city of Omdurman since last week.

Hundreds of residents in the old neighborhoods of Omdurman are suffering from the refusal of the fighting forces and their failure to open safe corridors to take them out or pass humanitarian aid to them.
