“Asocial!”: Dynamo Dresden boss attacks his own fans | Sports

Anger at the Dynamo Boss! After the incidents surrounding Dresden’s 1-0 away win at Erzgebirge Aue on Sunday, the managing director of the third division club, Jürgen Wehlend (56), attacked his own fans.

In a statement on the club’s website, he spoke of “senseless and antisocial destructiveness”. This not only hurts the host club financially, “but also for all the visiting fans themselves, who can neither relieve themselves during the game nor have access to running water”.

Around the third division derby, Dresden fans had destroyed the sanitary facilities in the stadium and injured an Aue supporter with a projectile.

Absolutely unacceptable for Dynamo! Wehlend: “The SG Dynamo Dresden condemns any form of violence, threats, discrimination and vandalism – be it in the stadium or away from it.”

Wehlend apologized on behalf of the club to the 61-year-old Aue fan, who was hit by a hard plastic object before the game: “We also strongly condemn the increasing use of projectiles of all kinds and apologize in all forms to the am FC Erzgebirge fan we met at the weekend, who, according to our information, fortunately got away with a minor injury. On behalf of the entire sports community, I wish him a speedy recovery and a speedy recovery.”

Wehlend promised “that we will increasingly address the issue of demolishing the sanitary facilities in the guest area. This is an extremely annoying bad habit, which unfortunately has become commonplace with some incorrigibles from many fan camps – including ours – in recent years, as we also had to painfully realize, for example, at the last meeting with FC Erzgebirge in the Rudolf Harbig Stadium”.

Aue Managing Director Michael Voigt (50) put the damage in the Erzgebirge Stadium at a mid-four-digit amount.
