ASN recommends “industrial security” of the current nuclear fleet in the next PPE

Safety has been ensured, but better anticipation is essential “to avoid deadlock within the nuclear system”. The Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) presented Thursday, May 25 its 2022 report to French parliamentarians, eagerly awaited after the production difficulties of winter and a summer marked by drought, heat waves, as well as the discovery of phenomena of stress corrosion on several reactors. “A set of nuclear hazards never seen before”, underlined Bernard Doroszczuk, the president of the ASN.
