Teams are vying to become Asian champions. Pakistan and Nepal practiced in Multan while the Afghanistan team also prepared in Lahore where they will face Bangladesh on Sunday 3rd September and Sri Lanka on Tuesday 5th September.

13 matches of Asia Cup will be played at 4 different venues. Four matches will be held in Pakistan and 9 matches including the final will be held in Sri Lanka.
Apart from the host Pakistan, teams from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Afghanistan are participating in the Asia Cup, of which all the teams except India will play matches in Pakistan.
The opening match will start at 2:30 pm Pakistan time. A colorful opening ceremony will be held before the match, in which Aima Baig and Nepalese singers will perform.
