Dr. Ashraf, Zaki, the captain of the acting professions, denied that the Syndicate covered the costs of the funeral and condolences of the late great artist Samir Sabry, explaining in his statements to “The Seventh Day”, that it was his family that spent on all these matters and took care of all the expenses that were spent at the funeral and consolation of the late star.
The representative of the Syndicate of Acting Professions added that the Syndicate does not delay at all with one of its sons who are unable to do these matters, and that when he found the family of the great artist Samir Sabry, he would cover the expenses at their request, he did not interfere in this matter.
For his part, Dr. Adel Hosni, a close friend of the late great artist Samir Sabry, confirmed what was published in an article on the seventh day, that Sabry left 100,000 pounds with his close friend Mustafa Abdel Salam, the price of his funeral and condolences, even the costs of the bus that transported mourners to Alexandria to participate in his funeral. It was spent from the amount left by the great artist Samir Sabry.
The great artist Samir Sabry left a major hotel in Cairo last Friday following a struggle with heart disease at the age of 86, and he was buried in Al-Manara Cemetery in Alexandria last Saturday.
