As summer approaches, there are more and more repairs on the roads.

Most of the work is carried out on regional roads. The greatest traffic restrictions are observed on the regional road near Ventspils in the direction of Kolka (P124) and between Kangari and Tinuzi (P10). At both locations mentioned, there are five temporary traffic light sections that will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.

In connection with construction work, significant traffic restrictions have also been introduced on the Ventspils-Kolka section (P124) from Ventspils to Liepene, on the Incukalns-Ropazi-Ikskile section (P10) from Kangari to Tinuža, Kotseni-Limbazi-Tuja (P11) on the section from Umurga to Iesalkai, on the section of the Skrunda-Aizpute highway (P117) after Kazdanga, on the Kandava-Saldus highway (P109) from Zemite to Kapukrogs, on the section of the Ilukste (Virsaishi)-Bebrene-Birži highway (P72) from Mazslati to Zasa and on the Smiltene highway -Valka (P24) in the section from Smiltene to the Blome-Birzuli-Palsmane road (V243).

In turn, the bridge over the Vedzele River on the Tukums-Kuldiga regional highway (P121) is completely closed to traffic. The closed area can be bypassed along the Aizstrauši-Starpiņas (V1478) and Kandava-Saldus (P109) roads, planning an additional 20 minutes on the road.

LVC also warns that in connection with the opening of the motorcycle season, which will take place in Riga on Saturday, April 27, not only in the capital, but also in the outskirts of Riga, a particularly large number of motorcyclists participating in road traffic should be expected.

When planning weekend trips, drivers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the road repair map on the LVC website, where all current traffic restrictions on roads of national importance are noted.
