As soon as his first aid training is completed, he saves a life

From theory to practice: an 18-year-old Frenchman saved a man’s life by giving him first aid, just hours following receiving his training on Tuesday.

Louckas Wartelle, 18, had just completed an eight-hour training course during which he had learned to do cardiac massage when he had to put his new skills to the test, in a gym in Armentières, in the north of the France, according to what the daily reports The voice of the North.

While training, a man in his thirties reportedly collapsed beside him.

“He fell and he was not moving. He had no pulse and was not breathing. I thought there would be a doctor or someone with more experience who would have answered,” said the young adult, who decided to take matters into his own hands.

“I started to massage, his heart was no longer beating. He finally left, but I continued until help arrived. I was afraid of doing wrong, ”he told the French media.

The firefighters also confirmed that the intervention of the young rescuer made it possible to restart the heart of the victim. For his part, the thirty-something would still rest in a worrying state.
