Florentino Pérez wants to continue accumulating sponsorships so that Real Madrid can continue to compete in terms of revenue with the likes of Manchester City and PSG. The next one will be HP, which she has already reported BRANDand which is confirmed now AS, presenting a bit more details regarding the contract. It is an American multinational technology company that produces desktop computers, laptops, printers and 3D printers. HP will appear in a Real Madrid shirt. It will not take the place of Emirates, which will remain the main sponsor, but the HP logo will be visible on one of the sleeves.
For the first time in history, Real Madrid will have two shirt sponsors. Typically, some teams have others on their sleeves or on the back of their shorts in addition to their main sponsor. In this case, the HP logo will be on the sleeve of the T-shirt. This will increase the value of the club and “for the shirt alone” the Royals will receive over EUR 250 million per year. The contract with Adidas guarantees exactly 117.6 million euros per year, with Emirates 70 million euros per year, and now the club is to receive from HP regarding 70 million euros per year, reports AS. It is worth noting that the contract with Emirates expires in 2026 and its possible extension can only increase revenues.
In addition to this increase in revenues, thanks to the agreement with HP, there will also be an increase in revenues from the new Santiago Bernabéu, which is expected to bring Real Madrid approximately EUR 1 billion per year from next season. Thanks to this commercial idea and the agreement with HP, the club will not lose ground to clubs financed by the Middle East, so it can continue to compete for bringing the best players to its team. Thanks to this, Real also becomes the club that earns the most money just for the shirt.
The contract between Real Madrid and HP will be officially signed tomorrow. In the coming days, the new sponsor’s logo should appear on one of the sleeves of the T-shirt.
Update: Spanish industry specialists report that AS probably incorrectly states the annual amount guaranteed by the 4-year contract. In their opinion, the Royals will receive approximately 15-20 million annually from HP. They emphasize, however, that the contracts with Emirates and Adidas contain different clauses, which in total may result in annual revenues of EUR 195-255 million.
