The Municipality of Bariloche implements as of today changes in the vehicular circulation in the macro center, in the area of the five corners of Belgrano street and the plaza area that bears the same name where there is an important circulation for the offer of private medicine.
The measures taken include the U-turn of Belgrano street between 20 de Febrero and Güemes, which will become one-way on that block in the East-West direction, and the change of direction on Calle Güemes between Belgrano and 24 de Septiembre, which will become double-way.
Calle 24 de Septiembre between 20 de Febrero and Morales will become a double street. The prohibition to turn to the right from Belgrano towards Juan José Paso will also apply.
“These changes will simplify the intersection achieving a traffic light of 2 times (before it was 3), which will be reflected in a considerable decrease in waiting times at traffic lights, “said the Municipality when announcing the changes.
Besides, vehicles will stop accumulating on Belgrano and Gallardo and, consequently, it will improve the intersections of Morales and Gallardo, and Quaglia and Gallardo, which are currently affected by this row.
The commune considered that “with the generation of islands and new pedestrian ramps, all pedestrian crossings are safe and accessible.”
He added that an improvement is expected in the ambulance access decreasing the distance by 900 meters that they must carry out to be able to access the health center from Morales and Belgrano.
