“As I am also pregnant, it is an additional stress”

Katy and Andrew were due to marry on April 9, surrounded by their 85 guests, in a luxurious country room at the Judges Country House Hotel in Kirklevington, England. Last month the couple made their final payment of £9,000. But if everything seemed to be going as planned, things suddenly changed last week, tell our colleagues from the Mirror.

Indeed, almost a month before her wedding, the 26-year-old received an email claiming that it was canceled and that she would be reimbursed. The room pledging to help him find a place of substitution.

Provident, the young Englishwoman had already brought her wedding dress last July as well as the dresses of the bridesmaids, the costumes and the various bouquets. A £1,000 deposit had also been paid for the cake and flowers. “I am absolutely disgusted,” reacted Katy. “And as I am also pregnant, it is an additional stress”.

And as if the situation wasn’t stressful enough, the reception hall won’t be able to reimburse the young couple directly. “They said they were trying to reimburse us but that they mightn’t do it until the sale (of the room, editor’s note) was not concluded”, explains the Englishwoman. “We are going to lose over £1,000 in deposits and such. We have no idea when we will be refunded. We are absolutely gutted and have no idea what we are going to do now”.

Strangely, another woman named Yvonne, event organizer, had also rented this room for an autumn ball for the benefit of an association. After paying a deposit, the staff also told her that the venue was closing and that she would be refunded. Since then, the organizer has still not been contacted by the owners of the premises.
