You certainly would not have imagined that in the 21st century there might be people who don’t wear clothes. But the world is full of many surprises.

With unparalleled astonishment we discovered that in Nigeria there are still places so rural and remote that even members of a tribe in that country travel naked.

So let’s discover together the Kuma tribe of Nigeria. The Kuma Tribe The Kuma tribe is a tribe located deep in the Nigerian forests. They are an isolated and very rural tribe found along the Nigeria-Cameroon border in the beautiful Adamawa State of Nigeria.

In fact, the people of the Kuma tribe are known as the people of the hills. They also live in the Alantica Mountains in Nigeria. Most of the Kuma people live and subsist through activities such as farming and hunting in their areas.

In addition, the Kuma perform puberty rites on adolescents when they reach adulthood. Boys are 14 years old while girls are around 17 years old. This ritual is very painful and unimaginable because the boys are circumcised.

As for the daughters of this tribe, they have severed teeth. This is obviously unbearable, because I don’t think Kuma has any anesthetics or painkillers to relieve the pain associated with it.

One of the interesting traditions of this tribe is their wedding rites. Men who want to marry a girl from the village work for the girl’s family for five years. During this period of work, the man under trial will also be forced to carry the girl with whom he was destined.

However, if the girl is unable to bear children, the marriage is annulled. In some cases, humans may be allowed to bring in goats or other farm animals instead of working for five years. Finally, it is worth noting that the Kuma have their own deity, which he calls Zoom.
