AS: An unexpected destination for Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain

Rumors persist regarding the fate of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo since news circulated that he wanted to leave Manchester United.

Ronaldo joined Manchester United At the end of last summer’s transfers, he left Juventus, and a year following his emotional return to Old Trafford, reports indicated Ronaldo’s desire to leave, especially with the absence of the Red Devils from the Champions League competitions.

Since then Ronaldo has been linked with a possible return to Juventus, a move to Bayern Munich, along with Chelsea’s interest, in addition to his association with Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish newspaper “AS”, through its cover of today’s issue, wrote: “Ronaldo convinces Simeone, Atletico Madrid needs to be sold to bring the Portuguese.”

This is an unexpected step in Ronaldo’s career if negotiations begin between the two parties, given his history with Real Madrid, rivals Atleti in the Spanish capital.
