Aruküla’s stone town playground, which is located in the area between the apartment buildings and the municipal hall, received two carousels, one for smaller and one for older children, with the support of the local initiative program (KOP). The carousels cost a total of 7,065 euros, of which 4,000 were allocated from KOP, 3,065 euros from the budget of the Aruküla Cultural Society. New attractions were installed on the playground last week, the old spring swing was also replaced with a new one.
“Once the municipal government has issued a use permit, we will hold an opening party for the renewed playground, where all the children of Aruküla are invited, both alone and with kindergarten groups. The opening will probably be in the coming week,” said Garina Toomingas, leader of the stone city playground, CEO of Aruküla Cultural Society.
“Our playground is getting better and better, now we know how to install the attractions in such a way that they last longer,” said the head of culture.
