The supervisory board of Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń (PZU) appointed Artur Olech to the management board of PZU SA, entrusting him with the function of president of the management board, subject to the consent of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF); until consent is obtained, it entrusted Olech with performing the duties of the president of the management board to the extent permitted by applicable regulations, the insurer said.
Additionally, the Supervisory Board appointed the following members of the management board: Bartosz Grześkowiak, Elżbieta Häuser-Schöneich and Jan Zimowicz, the release stated.
Artur Olech has been a manager in the financial and insurance industry for over 30 years. A graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Finance and Banking at the Warsaw School of Economics. He also graduated from Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. He participated in numerous training courses for top management staff, including Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management and Chicago GSB (Booth School of Business).

Associated with the Generali Group for many years, he went through all career levels and various areas of responsibility, starting from the position of manager, through department director, member of the management board, vice-president, until he was offered the position of president of the Group in Poland in 2010. In the years 2010-2014 he served as the leader of the management board of the Generali Group in Poland.

At the same time, his team reorganized the activities of the non-life company – Pocztowe Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych, changing its structure and modernizing it towards a multi-brand business model,” we read further.
In 2016, together with a team of managers, he founded his first company on the fintech market – hiPRO. The company combines banking and insurance processes, optimizing the processes of financing insurance premiums by integrating professional lending institutions and banks with the sales ecosystems of insurers and multi-agents, as well as offering tools directly to individual agents and clients.
In 2020, together with other managers of the banking and insurance sector, he founded the so-called digital insurer – HPI GMA. Based on the Freedom of Service and the Triglav license, HPI GMA – operating under the Trasti brand – started selling motor insurance, mainly through digital channels.
Bartosz Grześkowiak has been associated with the insurance market in the corporate insurance segment from the beginning of his professional career – from 2005, he held managerial positions at UNIQA Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń for several years, and finally in 2008 he took up the position of director of the sales department (Brokers Channel). From 2011, he held the position of managing director at Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń i Reasekuracji Warta, where he was responsible for managing the Corporate Insurance Department and took an active part in building and implementing the company’s strategy. In 2018, he joined the MAK Group as vice-president of the following companies: MAK insurance, STBU Brokerzy Ubezpieczeniowi and the reinsurance broker MAK Re. Then, in May 2019, he took over as president of the management board of MAK International. He has passed the brokerage exam (2018).
Elżbieta Häuser-Schöneich gained nearly thirty years of experience in building strategy, management, sales and marketing, transformation and digitalization in international institutions, mainly in the insurance and telecommunications industries. Co-creator of the “direct” insurance market in Poland. In the years 2002-2005, member of the management board of Link4, responsible for business development, sales and marketing of the company. In the years 2005-2008, marketing and product director of the ING Nationale-Nederlanden Life Insurance Company. In the years 2008-2015, vice-president of the management board of Aviva TUO, managing direct sales and marketing of the group. Member of the supervisory board of Aviva TFI. In the years 2015-2017, member of the management board of T-Mobile Polska, responsible for the retail customer market. In 2019-2020, member of the management board of PZU SA and PZU Życie SA, responsible for distribution strategy, sales management on the retail customer market, CRM and digital transformation.
Jan Zimowicz is a manager with nearly fifteen years of experience as a board member or in managerial positions in leading insurance companies and banks belonging to international capital groups such as Aegon, Nationale-Nederlanden and Credit Agricole. He specializes in the areas of sales and marketing management, insurance product development, internal communication and PR. He has extensive experience in implementing IT systems, creating strategies and conducting acquisition processes. In his professional work, he combines comprehensive education and skills from various industries: financial, technological and consulting, acquired in leading global organizations, also mentioned in the material.
