Artificial rain is possible in mid-December in Lahore: Chief Meteorologist

According to Chaudhry Aslam, artificial rain is an important step along with other measures to control smog, but preparation is necessary for this and this work is not possible in the next couple of days, but artificial rain can be practically done by December 15. is

He said that military officers were also present in a meeting held in this regard, while an army plane will be used to rain. It has been mentioned in this passage that ‘a ship will be hired, the hourly rent of which is 2500 dollars i.e. more than 714,000 rupees.’

While the second ship, which will cost 6500 dollars (Rs. 18 lakh 57 thousand) per hour, it will be equipped with a tank and a chemical spraying system. A chemical called silver iodide will be needed to spray the clouds. This chemical is worth seven lakh rupees per kg.

Chaudhry Aslam said that the Meteorological Department has successfully conducted this experiment even during the tenure of former President Pervez Musharraf. The ships used for this purpose were also provided by the army.

According to him: ‘We have the expertise and experience, if only we are provided with ships and chemicals, it can rain in Lahore. For this, there must be 40% clouds in the sky, while along with this, the speed and pressure of the winds must also be evaluated.

According to Chief Meteorologist Chaudhry Aslam: ‘An attempt is being made to get benefit from China and other countries for artificial rain in Lahore. The Punjab government is serious about this, but it is not possible to make it rain until the arrangements are completed.
