Second Paralympic coronation for Arthur Bauchet. After the gold, Saturday, in the queen event of the downhill, the great hope of French alpine skiing, won Monday March 7 his second gold medal at the Beijing Games (until March 13) with the title of super combined (standing category).
The 21-year-old athlete, from the Var and licensed at the Briançon ski club, beat on the sunny slopes of the national alpine ski center of Yanqing, 80 km northwest of the Chinese capital, the Finn Santeri Kiiveri and the New Zealander Adam Hall.
With this new title, the second on Monday following that of Cécile Hernandez in snowboard cross, France remains fifth in the ranking of medals (five, including three gold) in these Paralympic Games.
