ARTE co-productions at the 45th Film Festival Max Ophüls Preis 2024 (PHOTO)

Strasbourg (ots) – The 45th edition of the Max Ophüls Prize film festival starts next Monday in Saarbrücken and will once more offer a wide range of films until January 28th.

ARTE is represented in the feature film competition section with three co-productions and in the side series MOP series, short film series Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris “Out of Breath/À Bout de Souffle” and Tribute: Christian Schwochow with a further 8 co-productions. The competition programs will be performed in seven venues in Saarbrücken and Saarland and will also be available via a streaming service on the festival’s homepage (www.ffmop.de) to see.

ARTE broadcasts on Sunday, January 28, 2024 in “Short Circuit – The Magazine” the short film “Longing for Paradise” (Wherever Paradise is), which won the short film prize at the Max Ophüls Prize in 2023, as well as the encounter with the filmmaker Anna Erlandsson on her small farm in central Sweden, where she lives with her husband.
