At Maria-Lassnig-Strasse 38-40 is the EBG housing complex “Schöne Aussichten”. “One of the oldest social housing associations,” says Helga Hohenecker, Managing Director. The “Favoritner collector”, a canal, runs under the system. In order not to burden this, a passage was kept free in the building.

Art with a message

The free space was transformed into a work of art. “The ‘The Great Vibration’ project emerged as the winner of the ‘KÖR – Art in Public Space’ competition,” says Martina Taig, managing director of the association. Artist Moussa Kone comments: “I was inspired by the canal that was built in 1873 to deal with the cholera epidemic. It shows that we always find a solution in difficult times.” If you want to know more: the artist will be there on June 10 at 4 p.m.
