Vienna (OTS) – “Late, but all the more productive, the extraordinary and anti-cyclical biography made Ilse Helbich a writer. With her sensitive, multicolored narrative voice, she has repeatedly managed to connect weighty and existential topics in a touching way and with a certain lightness. Her death is a great loss for her readers and for all of contemporary Austrian literature. My condolences go out to her family and everyone connected to her,” said Art and Culture State Secretary Andrea Mayer on the death of author Ilse Helbich.
