Arsenal hosted Vincent Kompany’s Burnley this Saturday late followingnoon. A match a priori more than affordable for the Gunners, once morest a team which is struggling to take points this season.
But during the first act, the Arsenal players came up once morest a well-organized defense and a heroic opposing goalkeeper. Heroic until the 44th and a goal from… Leandro Trossard. After having already scored on Wednesday in the Champions League, the Devil did it once more this Saturday. Small scare however: while finishing with a header, the Belgian was “knocked down” by the Burnley goalkeeper and fell badly. Although he returned to the game for the last seconds of the first period, Trossard was still holding his arm when he returned to the locker room. We then hoped that things would go well for the ex-Genk player, while the Red Devils will meet once more next week for the end of the qualifying matches for Euro 2024.
Finally, Trossard got back on the pitch in the second half and no longer showed any signs of pain. Better: it was he who delivered the assist on the 2-1 goal, signed Saliba, following a corner.
For the record, Arsenal will ultimately win 3-1 thanks to another achievement from the Ukrainian Zinchenko.
