FEYDEAU SEVENauthor of a beautiful close outside in the last bend, behaved well until the end, but had to settle for third place. BLACKFLASH BARstarted very well, then stuck in the peloton, sprinted well and took a promising fourth place. SPARK OF GLORYwho had made progress in the uphill section, finished well and finished fifth.
Jean-Michel Bazire said: “The horse is doing it very well. He is much better than six months or a year ago. He has picked up speed in his legs. With him, you are speeded up at the start, but when the horses lead pick up once more, we can come to the front on the climb. He didn’t have a hard race and that’s important. The rest of his program is in twenty-one days, on the 26th March.”
