Canton police arrested 15 men
During checks at Zurich main station, several people were arrested over the weekend and evictions were issued. Items were also seized. The cantonal police checked over 60 people with the SBB transport police.

The police and SBB checked over 60 people at Zurich main station over the weekend, arrested several people and turned others away.
Nine men were arrested for violating the Aliens and Integration Act, according to a statement by the Zurich cantonal police on Sunday evening. Those arrested are three Algerian, two Tunisian, one Moroccan, one Syrian, one Malian and one Chilean national between the ages of 22 and 42.
A 39-year-old Moroccan and a 33-year-old Swiss man were arrested for violence and threats once morest authorities and officials.
Three other men were arrested on suspicion of property crime: they are nationals of Algeria and Chile, aged 18, 31 and 50.
A 42-year-old Kenyan man on arrest for unpaid fines was taken to the police post. He was allowed to leave following paying the outstanding amount.
Several people are reported for violating the Weapons Act and the Narcotics Act, for minor shoplifting, abusive triggering of a fire alarm and unauthorized smoking in the non-smoking area, the police said.
A 26-year-old woman was referred to the Zurich sobering-up and care center because she was under the influence of alcohol. Around a dozen people were verbally evicted.
The police officers also seized an unpunished quantity of marijuana, a knife and a pepper spray.
According to the police, most of the checks took place on Friday and Saturday evenings. (SDA)
