According to the Police announcement:
A 22-year-old foreigner and a 30-year-old citizen were arrested as part of the traffic stop in the morning hours of 1-3-2024 at “Eleftherios Venizelos” Airport, by police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, for violating the legislation on addictive substances.

In the context of actions of the above Service, to prevent the importation of narcotic substances from European countries via air routes and after investigation and analysis of information as well as the creation of profiles of individuals, the accused were identified and their criminal activity was certified.
During the inspection of their luggage (2 suitcases) when they arrived in our country from Barcelona, the following were found and confiscated:
- -14- kilograms and -851- grams of raw cannabis,
- the amount of -4,635- euros and
- -3- mobile phones.
The arrested persons were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
