Court “I’m afraid to run away”
A man in his 20s who indiscriminately assaulted a woman with the intention of committing a sex crime in an apartment elevator in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province has been arrested.

Mr. A is accused of hitting Mr. B (20s, female) several times with his fist in the elevator of the apartment where he lives at 12:30 noon on the 5th.
He committed this crime while going down two floors in the elevator that Mr. B was riding.
Then, while dragging Mr. B down, he was arrested as a current criminal by the police, who were dispatched to a report from a resident who came out following hearing Mr. B’s scream. Mr. B is receiving hospital treatment for injuries such as fractures.
Mr. A is said to have stated to the effect of ‘trying to commit a sex crime’ in a police investigation. He was not acquainted with Mr. B, and it was investigated that he decided to commit the crime if the woman was alone when he rode the elevator.
He was found to have a history of being punished for attempted rape in the past.
Mr. A left the word ‘I’m sorry to the victim’ while moving for a warrant review this morning.
