This Friday evening around 10:40 p.m., three young people aged 18, 20 and 23 broke into the McDonald’s fast-food restaurant in Boncelles, located on Route du Condroz in Seraing.
One of the three young people was armed. They demanded the contents of the boxes but were unable to steal any money. One of the young people indicated before leaving that they were going to come back!
But these three young people were directly arrested by the police as they left the McDonald’s. All three of them have confessed.
No McDonald’s staff were injured and apparently no customers were either.
These three young people were referred to the Liège public prosecutor’s office this Saturday morning and the case was put under investigation with a request for arrest warrants.
Same procedure
It seems that the modus operandi of these three young people is identical to that used at the Colruyt store two weeks ago.
And the magistrate who heard these three young people thinks that they could also be linked to other theft cases in the region. The investigation continues.
The Seraing-Neupré police intervention teams acted quickly and therefore enabled the immediate arrest of this gang of young robbers this Friday evening in Boncelles. A great effort which should reassure the population.
