The attacker of players from América and Tigres is finally in the Apodaca prison and will now be in pretrial detention.

The Nuevo León State Attorney General’s Office announced that the alleged aggressor of Liga MX Femenil players, José Andrés “N”, was linked to the process and the precautionary measure of preventive detention was imposed.

“An AMPI attached to the Monterrey Mass Processing Unit formulates an accusation, exposes evidence that proves the probable conduct incurred by the accused in acts with characteristics compatible with the crimes of Sexual Harassment and Threats and requests his link to the process.

“The Judge deems the reasons set forth by the AMPI sufficient to resolve the legal situation of the defendant *dictating once morest him an Order of Link to Process* for the two crimes requested. Precautionary Measure of justified preventive detention is imposed. A two-month period is set for the closure of the complementary investigation,” the Prosecutor’s Office reported.

Prior to this, América had denounced the inaction of the authorities in cases of digital harassment once morest its players, despite the fact that formal complaints were filed with the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office, for which the club revealed the identity of the presumed aggressor to stop the attacks, at the same time that he reported a new case and following that the arrest was announced.

“At Club América we regret to inform that, once once more, one of our players, whom we will not mention to protect her identity, is being a victim of digital violence and has presented, on June 30, 2023, before the Attorney General of Justice of Mexico City (FGJ), the corresponding complaint, as well as multiple proofs of the digital harassment that she is suffering. To alert other young people that they may be being harassed by the same perpetrator, we have no other option but to give know his name and photograph: José Andrés “N””, revealed the club at that time in a statement.

Once arrested, José Andrés “N” was transferred to Nuevo León, where he was finally admitted to the Apodaca prison and will now be in preventive detention.
