A case of marital disorder led to the arrest of a woman for armed assault on her spouse Friday morning in the Charlesbourg sector, in Quebec. The man had to be taken to hospital.
SPVQ police officers were called to the Chamonix street area for a domestic violence call around 10 a.m.
On the spot, they proceeded to the arrest of a lady for armed attack on her spouse. The latter had to be transported to the hospital to treat injuries which have not been specified by the authorities, but which do not however give reason to fear for his life.
The nature of the weapon used is also not indicated for the moment, the police being content to speak of a “bladed weapon”.

Still under investigation
The police communications service also specifies that the investigation is still ongoing and that we are still trying to unravel the details of this quarrel that went wrong.
“We cannot determine the status of everyone at this time in this story. It is the investigation which will determine the involvement of the parties and especially the chronology which led to this”, explains David Poitras, adding that the “versions differ”.
