Police have arrested the suspected killer of crypto mogul Christian Peev, Vesco Valtsinov, who is accused of beating his victim to death with a dumbbell, then dismembering and flushing his body down the toilet. The body parts were found by plumbers in Sofia following the drain was blocked. According to the police, Peev’s head and some bones were buried by Valchinov with the help of an accomplice. The 41-year-old American citizen got rich from cryptocurrency investments, and regularly visited international events and parties before his murder. At one of these events, he was able to meet his alleged killer, who worked as a bartender. According to the police, another man also helped the killer hide the victim’s dismembered body. After being taken into custody, he admitted that he took the body parts to Vitosa in his car and buried the head and skeleton. Valtsinov was arrested following fleeing to a hotel, but his whereregardings were traced through his phone. According to local media, Peev helped Valchynov trade cryptocurrency, so investigators suspect that the motive for the murder may have been related to this. The police do not rule out the possibility that Valchynov was jealous of his rich friend, but the investigation is still ongoing.
