Heading to Europe: Arquímides Ordóñez leaves the MLS and signs for a Swedish club
FC Cincinnati shared that forward with Guatemalan roots Arquímides Ordoñez will go on loan to Östersunds FK of Sweden.

FC Cincinnati shared this Thursday, April 4, that the forward was loaned with an option to buy to Östersunds FK of the Swedish Superettan (second division) until December 31, 2024.
Ordóñez turned professional in 2021, being the first player from the Cincinnati academy to debut in the MLS.
The forward has Guatemalan roots and represented the country in the Concacaf Under 20 World Cup in 2022, being a key player in the bicolor’s classification for the 2023 World Cup in Argentina.
After having participated in the second World Cup in the history of Guatemala (U20), Ordóñez returned to the United States and participated with FC Cincinnati 2 in the MLS Next Pro, however, he did not have minutes in the senior team and now his next adventure It will be in Europe.
As announced by FC Cincinnati, Ordóñez has made 25 appearances in all competitions with the team and has totaled 13 goals in 24 appearances in 2022 and 2023 with the second team.
Although he already made his debut with the Guatemalan Senior National Team once morest Colombia in September 2022, Luis Fernando Tena has not called up the 20-year-old once more.

The Superettan, the league where Östersunds FK plays, only started on March 30, so the Striker with Guatemalan roots will arrive at the tournament at an early stage and might debut on Saturday, April 6 when they face Trelleborgs FF for the second date of the competition.
