Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Children and Adolescents (Minna) was present at the largest motor sport competition in the country, the Transchaco Rally 2024. During the Protection Operation, a Safe Space was set up that benefited nearly 300 girls, boys and adolescents from indigenous communities.
The service was provided by teams from the PAIVTES (Care for Victims of Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation) and PAINI (Comprehensive Care for Indigenous Children) Programs, with the support of CODENI in Mariscal Estigarribia.
Over the three days, children and adolescents received food services (breakfast, mid-morning and followingnoon snacks) and were able to participate in recreational activities, while their parents carried out economic activities.
In addition, a citizen service device was implemented to distribute Campaign materials. #WeAreAllResponsible “The more you talk and listen, the more you care for them.” This initiative sought to raise awareness among those present regarding the importance of prevention and timely reporting of child sexual abuse. Talks were also held with parents and adolescents.
#OperativoRally 2024 included an inter-institutional meeting at the post, with the participation of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Women and the National Police. Additionally, night monitoring was carried out in the areas with the highest attendance, to prevent the violation of the rights of children and adolescents.
In this way, the Minna not only carried out prevention work and provided protection to children and adolescents who might find themselves in vulnerable situations, but also raised awareness among the citizens who participated in the sporting event regarding the importance of caring for and protecting our children and adolescents.
