QHollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger was stopped by the authorities at the Munich airport in Germany. The actor was entangled in legal issues related to carrying the expensive luxury watch that he had in his hand. He was stuck at the airport for three hours. Later he was released following completing all the procedures.

It was a watch specially made by Swiss luxury brand Audemars Piguet for Arnold, who is also the former governor of California. He put the watch in his hands to raise money for the climate organization working in Austria under the leadership of the actor. The actor answered all the questions of the customs officers correctly. The actor agreed to pay the tax on the watch. But even there, Arnold had to overcome many difficulties.

Tried to pay with credit card but the machine didn’t work. With this, the officials instructed to withdraw the money from the ATM and pay the amount. But as this was more than the amount that might be withdrawn from the ATM, that too might not be done. It was already past working hours at the bank. Then a customs officer brought a new credit card machine and the star paid and left the airport.

According to EU law, anyone entering the country carrying cash or goods of equivalent value above 10,000 euros (roughly Rs. 9 lakh) must notify the authorities. In addition, a product imported from a non-EU country must pay customs duty when it is brought into Germany. The actor tried to avoid it. Customs Press Officer Thomas Meister said that he will face criminal legal action.

Arnold’s spokesperson responded to the press saying that this was a joke full of mistakes and that it would be better if they made a comedy police movie with these incidents.
