Army vehicle accident in Sikkim; A Malayali among the dead – Jaihind TV

Palakkad: A Malayali is among the soldiers who died in an accident in Sikkim when their vehicle fell into a ravine. Vysakh (26), a native of Palakkad Mathur Chenganiyur Kav, died. Vaishakh is the son of Sahadeva, a native of Chenganiyoorkav. He was working in the Indian Army for four years. Vaishakh returned following a month’s leave in October. Vaisakh was a Nayak in 221 regiment.

The accident took place in Sema in North Sikkim. 16 soldiers died in the accident when the vehicle fell down. Four people were injured in the accident. In the morning, one of the three military vehicles that were going from Chaten to Tangu met with an accident at the border. Three junior commissioned officers and 13 soldiers died. Four injured people were shifted to hospital by air ambulance.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed deep grief over the accident. Deeply saddened by the loss of life of soldiers in a road accident in North Sikkim.
