The Army destroyed four antipersonnel mines that were placed on a path used by residents and authorities in a rural area of ​​Segovia, Antioquia.

The incident occurred in the Cancha Manila area, in compliance with the Ayacucho Plan, where authorities discovered antipersonnel mines installed by armed groups fighting over the territory.

The commander of the Fourteenth Army Brigade, Colonel José Vicente Ávila, confirmed the controlled destruction of the illegal explosives.

“National Army troops located and destroyed an area prepared with explosives, which were apparently installed by organized armed groups that commit crimes in that region. That area was located at a crossroads, attacking the civilian population.” Indian.
