The Seventh Division of the National Army, through Brigade 14, has intensified its efforts to neutralize the criminal activities of this criminal organization in the region.

The National Army has deployed troops in the area to confront the Clan del Golfo, one of the most active criminal structures in the Northeast of Antioquia.

The operation aims not only to dismantle criminal networks, but also to restore peace in a region that has suffered from violence for years.

Andrés Julián Rendón, Governor of Antioquia, has emphasized the importance of restoring security in order to provide social opportunities to the population.

In a recent message, Rendón stressed that it is essential to eliminate threats that disrupt the daily lives of citizens.

“To achieve social opportunities, it is necessary to restore security and eliminate threats to the civilian population and public order,” said the Governor.

Rendón also called on the Armed Forces and the Attorney General’s Office to maintain ongoing legal actions in the region.

“Operations must be sustained without interruption in the Northeast of Antioquia,” he insisted, highlighting the need for a coordinated and constant approach to guarantee the safety and well-being of citizens.

The Governor concluded his statement by reiterating the right of citizens to live without fear: “Our fellow citizens deserve to go to bed and wake up without fear. Our commitment to their safety is our priority.”
