Army chief met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, discussed security cooperation

Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain to discuss military and security cooperation.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir is on a two-day official visit to Bahrain.

During his visit, he separately met with Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain Defense Forces Commander Field Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Bahrain National Guard Commander General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa. Had meetings.

Issues of mutual interest including bilateral military and security cooperation were discussed in these meetings.

The statement said that the leadership of Bahrain appreciated the achievements of the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism and the ongoing efforts for regional peace and stability.

The Army Chief attended the 27th Foundation Day of the Bahrain National Guard as the Chief Guest where he was warmly welcomed and given a guard of honour.

ISPR said the army chief also observed a counter-terrorism training exercise.

Commander Bahrain National Guard thanked Pakistan Army for providing high professional training to Bahrain National Guard in military and counter-terrorism fields.

The King of Bahrain awarded the Army Chief with Bahrain First Class Military Medal in recognition of enhancing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
