Lieutenant General Anatoly Gulyaev, head of the Russian Army’s Main Armaments Directorate, announced that the Russian Armed Forces will receive more than 500 pieces of various types of weapons and more than a million shells.
“Almost the entire volume of state defense orders for 2025 has been contracted (98% at the moment), and the Armed Forces will receive more than 500 pieces of basic weapons and equipment. The total value of contracts signed today amounted to half a trillion rubles (about $ 6 billion),” he said.
Gulyaev noted that the forum has become an effective platform for constructive cooperation and that “one of the ways and forms of this cooperation is the signing of government contracts within the framework of the implementation of state defense reserves.
Enterprises of the Belarusian military-industrial complex have also signed contracts worth more than $100 million, according to the Belarusian State Committee for Military Industry.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Lao Defense Minister Tiensamone Tianyalat also signed an updated agreement on military cooperation between the two countries.
The Russian Defense Minister held a series of bilateral meetings with heads of foreign delegations that arrived in Moscow to participate in the forum.
The forum was held in the suburbs of Moscow at the Patriot Conference and Exhibition Center from August 12 to 14, with active participation, as major Russian companies displayed the latest military equipment and technologies.
