Armless snooker player Muhammad Akram surprised the world

Nothing stands in the way if you have courage and determination, a recent example of which is Pakistan’s snooker player Muhammad Ikram, who was born without both arms and excels at playing snooker with his chin.

According to the report of the French news agency ‘AFP’, Ikram said during a recent visit to a snooker hall in the city of Sarandi in the province of Punjab that it is a difficult job and it requires hard work, if someone is a player like me. I am ready to compete with him.

He belongs to a poor family and hence Ikram and his 8 siblings never went to school.

32-year-old Muhammad Ikram spent most of his childhood in isolation due to his physical disabilities.

As a teenager, he began watching people play at a local schooner hall, became inspired by the sport, and began practicing it in secret.

Ikram said that initially he used to play alone with balls on an empty pool table, gradually his game improved and he started playing with other people.

Not only this, but Muhammad Ikram can now challenge the best players in the city.

Muhammad Ikram’s parents were concerned that he might injure himself, which is why they banned Ikram from playing snooker for several years.

However, they allowed Muhammad Ikram to play last year.

His videos of mastering the sport despite deprivation are becoming very popular on the internet.

“I’ve become famous,” he said, but admitted he had no idea what social media was.

It should be noted that there are no updated statistics on disabled people in Pakistan, but according to the estimates of non-governmental organizations, more than 30 million people are suffering from disabilities out of the country’s 22 million population.

However, due to the absence of social security, the majority of disabled people are forced to live at home.

Muhammad Nadeem, the owner of the Snooker Hall in Saarini, described Muhammad Ikram as a true sportsman.

“We don’t take money to play with Muhammad Ikram, but people pay to play with him,” he said.

Mohammad Nadeem said that he has no competition, there are disabled players in cricket and football but when it comes to snooker, he is the only one of his kind.
